Scuba Diving for Beginners

What is included in a beginner scuba diving experience?

Our beginner scuba diving tours include all necessary equipment (mask, fins, wetsuit, regulator, tank, light snack, water, tank), an introductory lesson by a certified instructor, a shallow water practice session, and a guided dive in a safe, beginner-friendly location. Photos and videos of your dive can also be taken upon request.

Do I need prior experience to join a beginner scuba diving tour?

No prior experience is required! Our PADI certified instructors will teach you everything you need to know to enjoy your first dive safely. You even don´t need to know how to swim, still you´ll feel more confortable if you do know.

How deep will I dive as a beginner?

Beginner dives typically range between 2 to 12 meters (5 to 40 feet), ensuring you’ll experience marine life in a safe and comfortable environment. Still we start really shallow practicing first on surface some basic skill that make you feel more confortable and then in 2 meters (5 feet) and if you want and feel confident we can go deeper.

Are there any health requirements?

Yes, you must be in general good health and complete a medical questionnaire. Certain conditions like asthma, heart problems, or recent surgeries may require a doctor’s approval. You can check our medical form before booking to be sure you don´t have any of the listed medical conditions.

What marine life can I expect to see during my first dive?

In Cabo San Lucas, you can encounter colorful tropical fish, sea turtles, rays, and sometimes even playful sea lions in beginner-friendly dive sites.

Scuba Diving for Certified Divers

What dive sites do you visit for certified divers?

We visit popular dive sites such as The Arch, Pelican Rock, Neptune’s Finger, and the Sand Falls in Cabo San Lucas Marine Local Park. We can also go to the Corridor Area wich takes 30 minutes and there are some other dive sites less crowded such as Blow Hole, Santa Maria, Chileno, Gavilanes, Whale´s Head. This area offer something different still we find less marine life but it´s also a very beautifull underwater topography and during the boat ride we can find anything on the way. In La Ventana, we explore reefs, underwater rock formations, and sites rich in marine biodiversity.

Can I join if I haven’t dived in a while?

Yes, but if it has been more than a year since your last dive, we recommend a refresher course to ensure your skills are up to date. The refresher course we can take it on board remainding you many fundamental tips about the gear, skills and practicing in your first dive before we move on deeper.

What certifications do I need to participate?

A minimum of an Open Water Diver certification from any recognized diving agency (PADI, SSI, NAUI, etc.) is required. If you don´t have any certificacion and you have 3 days you coul get your PADI Open Water certification.

Are night dives available?

Yes, we offer night dives for certified divers, providing an opportunity to see nocturnal marine life.

Whale Watching Tours in Cabo San Lucas

What is the best time to go whale watching in Cabo San Lucas?

The whale watching season runs from mid-December to mid-April, when humpback and gray whales migrate to the warm waters of Baja California Sur. As the season is passing we have more chances to see mothers and calf closer to the shore in shallow water as are the last whales leaving the area.

What kind of whales can I see on the tour?

Humpback whales and gray whales are the most common sightings, but occasionally, you might see blue whales, sperm whales, or even orcas.

How long does the whale watching tour last?

Our tours typically last 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on the sightings and weather conditions.

Is the tour suitable for children?

Yes, our tours are family-friendly, and children of all ages are welcome. We provide life vests for everyone onboard. As long as you don´t have seasickness you are going to have a great time. If that´is your case you can try one hour earlier with a dramamine pill if you still want to take a chance seeing whales in their natural habitat.

What should I bring for the tour?

We recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, a camera, and a light jacket. Binoculars are optional but enhance the experience.

What activities are included in an Ocean Safari?

Our Ocean Safaris include snorkeling, wildlife watching, and exploring stunning coastal landscapes. In La Ventana, you might also have the chance to swim with whale sharks beetwen december to march.

What marine life can I expect to see during an Ocean Safari?

Depending on the season and location, you can encounter sea turtles, dolphins, manta rays, mobula rays, orcas and a variety of tropical fish. In La Ventana, whale shark sightings are a highlight as the giant school of mobula rays during april to june.

Is snorkeling gear provided?

Yes, we provide snorkeling gear and wetsuit if needed for all participants

Do I need to be a strong swimmer to join?

You don’t need to be a strong swimmer, but basic swimming skills are recommended. Life vests are available for added safety.

How long does an Ocean Safari last?

Ocean Safaris usually last around 4 hours, depending on the itinerary and weather conditions.

Yes, we provide round-trip transportation from most hotels in Cabo San Lucas to La Ventana. Tour in Cabo San Lucas you need to get to the marina on your own.
